Adoption Process
Your new pup awaits...
At Doodles with Purpose, we believe every puppy has a perfect home waiting for them, and we are committed to making the best possible matches. Our adoption process is designed to ensure that each puppy goes exactly where they are meant to be—into loving, committed families that are the right fit for them.
1. Complete Our Puppy Application
The first step is to complete our Puppy Application. This helps us get to know you, your lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in a puppy. Once we receive your application, we will reach out via phone for an initial conversation.
We know it can sometimes be tricky to connect, so you are welcome to call us as soon as you’ve completed your application at 615-965-5900. We’d love to chat!
2. Getting to Know You (Phone Conversation)
This conversation is a chance for us to answer your questions and learn more about your home, family, and what you’re hoping for in a puppy. If we both feel like it’s a great fit and you’re ready to move forward, we will send over our Puppy Reservation Agreement.
3. reservation & Deposit
To officially reserve a spot, we require a $500 deposit, which goes toward the total puppy price. Once your deposit is received, your place is confirmed, and your puppy selection spot is secured.
4. puppy Selection (After 6 Weeks)
At 6 weeks old, after our initial temperament evaluations, we begin the puppy selection process. We prioritize personality and compatibility to ensure the best match. Puppy selection can take place in person or virtually via FaceTime—whichever works best for you.
5.puppy Pick-Up & Delivery Options (After 8 Weeks)
Puppies are ready to go home after 8 weeks of age. Families can either pick up in person or opt for delivery.
Delivery Options: We offer personal delivery to bring your puppy safely to you. The cost ranges from $350 to $500, plus any necessary travel expenses (such as airfare, if required). If you’re interested in delivery, we’re happy to discuss options and make arrangements that best suit your needs!
We pour our hearts into raising each puppy, and it means the world to us to see them placed in wonderful, loving homes. We can’t wait to help you find the perfect puppy for your family!

We go the extra mile to ensure your puppy transitions seamlessly into their new home. Each puppy goes home with:

🐾 A detailed schedule and training plan—so you feel confident from the start
🐾 A folder full of valuable information—including guidance on feeding, training, and transitioning to their new home
🐾 Pre-Arrival Support – Before Gotcha Day, we send informative emails with shopping lists, recommendations, and essential tips to ensure you’re fully prepared.
We'll bring your puppy to you!
When new families are unable to pick up their puppies in-person, we will arrange to personally bring your puppy to you! No flight nannies or third-party transportation companies involved.
We will travel anywhere within the continental United States and Canada. Whether it be driving or flying your pup to you, our goal is to provide a seamless and stress-free experience for both the puppies and their new families.
